Terms of Service
Last updated: July 6, 2026
- PlumbCut makes planning estimates. Checking the numbers before you bid is on you, and the bid you send is yours.
- Paid plans bill through Stripe. Cancel anytime; you keep access through the time you already paid for.
- Your projects, prices, and job data belong to you. We only ever use them as anonymized averages, and you can turn that off in Settings.
- Our liability is capped at what you paid us in the last 12 months.
- Abuse the service and we can close the account.
1. Who we are
PlumbCut is the estimating service at plumbcut.com. In these terms, “PlumbCut,” “we,” and “us” mean the operator of the service, and “you” means the person or company using it. Creating an account or using the service means you agree to these terms.
2. Estimates are estimates
PlumbCut reads plans and produces takeoffs, materials lists, and planning estimates. Every number it gives you is a draft for your own judgment. You are responsible for verifying quantities, prices, and code compliance before you bid, buy, or build. The bids you send are your own bids, made on your own authority.
PlumbCut is not an engineer, not an architect, and not a supplier. Nothing it produces is engineering, design, structural, or code advice.
3. No warranty
PlumbCut is provided as is and as available. We work to keep it correct and running, and we do not promise it will be error free, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.
4. Limit on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, PlumbCut’s total liability for any claim arising out of or connected to the service is capped at the amount you paid PlumbCut in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits and lost bids. Some places do not allow certain limits; there, these limits apply as far as the law permits.
5. Your account and acceptable use
Give accurate information when you create an account, keep your sign-in credentials to yourself, and tell us right away about any unauthorized use. What happens under your login is your responsibility.
Use the service like a professional: no scraping, no reselling or sharing access outside your company, no probing other companies’ data, no illegal use, and no flooding the service with automated traffic. We can suspend or close accounts that abuse the service or break these terms.
6. Plans and billing
Paid plans are billed through Stripe. Cancel anytime with the Manage subscription button in the app; your access runs to the end of the period you already paid for, and nothing charges after that. The free tier includes usage limits (such as the number of AI plan reads) that may change over time. Current plans and prices are listed on the front page.
7. Your data
Your projects, your prices, and your job data belong to you. We use them to run the service for you. PlumbCut may also use anonymized, aggregated data (averages across many companies, with identifying details removed) to improve the product and build regional benchmark numbers. You can turn sharing off anytime in Settings under Pricing & calibration. The Privacy Policy has the full inventory.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product grows. Material changes get announced in the app or by email before they take effect. Using PlumbCut after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alaska, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
