PlumbCut
What we collect and why

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 6, 2026

The short version: we collect what the product needs to work, nothing more. No ad trackers, no analytics scripts, no selling your data. The full inventory is below.

What we collect

  • Your account. Your email address and sign-in credentials. You can sign in with an email and password or with your Google account.
  • Your company. Company name, logo, colors, and workspace settings.
  • Your work. The projects, prices, job numbers, and plan files you enter or upload.
  • Payments. Handled entirely by Stripe. Card numbers never touch PlumbCut’s servers. We keep your plan level and subscription status.
  • Housekeeping. Basic usage counts (like how many plan reads you have used) and error logs, so plan limits work and broken things get fixed.

Plan uploads and AI

Reading plans is the product. Upload a plan set or a price sheet and PlumbCut sends it to Anthropic, the AI provider that reads the drawings and drafts the counts. Your upload goes there to answer your request, and for nothing else. Users who bring their own API key route reads through their own provider account instead (Anthropic, or OpenRouter when they pick it).

Who processes your data

PlumbCut runs on a short list of service providers: Supabase (database, sign-in, and file storage), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (the emails the app sends), and Anthropic (AI plan reading). That is the whole list. There are no ad trackers or analytics scripts on this site, and we do not sell your data to anyone.

Cookies

Cookies keep you signed in and remember which workspace you had open. That is all they do here. No advertising or tracking cookies.

The sharing setting

Shared job numbers are used only as anonymized averages to build regional benchmark numbers, and the switch to turn sharing off lives in Settings under Pricing & calibration.

Keeping and deleting your data

Your data stays in your workspace until you remove it. You can delete plan files and whole projects inside the app anytime; deleting a file or a whole project also deletes the stored uploads. There is no self-serve account deletion yet: ask through the contact page and we will delete your account and everything stored under it, uploaded files included. Stripe keeps its own payment records under its own policies.

Changes to this policy

Our practices change only when the product does. Updates to this page get a fresh date at the top, and material changes get announced in the app or by email.
